The Thirty Day Challenge - Making money on the internet for free

Here at Subrideo we like to support our students in building their business and getting their message out to their chosen audience. One of the ways we do this is to let them learn from the mistakes we have already made when building our business. One area that a lot of mistakes are made is in the area of marketing. It is one of the most important pieces in setting up your business yet one of the most misunderstood. Lets face it, you can be the best therapist in the world but if no-one knows about you it will be difficult to make a living out of it. The whole area of marketing has become more interesting with the advent of the internet and what are called web 2.0 on-line applications like Twitter and Google Reader. While it is more interesting and easier to get set up using these tools it can be an absolute minefield for those of us who are not totally familiar with these technologies and struggle to see how they all fit together.

This is why it gives me great pleasure when I find a group of people on the internet who are trying to fill this gap and teach people how to market themselves effectively and all for free. What is the Thirty Day Challenge? It is all about selling your first $10 online regardless of what your market is. The following is from their website:
In a nutshell... The Thirty Day Challenge is about making your first $10 online. For a full 30 days we are going to be showing you exactly how to start your own Internet business and generate your first income online without spending a dime.
That's right, this is going to cost zip, diddly, nothing, nada, ziltch. The entire training program is free, and you won't have to spend a thing to get your business started and begin making money. No credit card required.
They will teach you how to use tools such as:
- Google Reader
- Flock
- Stumble Upon
- ..... and a lot lot more
Which are all amazing tools to get your message out there and raise your online profile. I highly recommend signing up and checking this out as quickly as you can as it starts on the 1st August and there are a few videos to go through before then to make sure you have all the tools set up to start the challenge.
Apparently, they ran the same challenge last year and there are reports of some of the people who took part having sold well over a million between now and then. I don't know whether that is true or just effective marketing but we could all do with a little of that I think ![]()
Sign up and this time next year we could all be millionaires.

Case Study For Public Speaking using Solution Focused Brief Therapy, NLP, EFT and Hypnotherapy

A new case study has been uploaded to The Subrideo Network. This was one of my clients, who came to see me for Public Speaking issues. I utilised Solution Focused Therapy, NLP, Hypnotherapy and some EFT.
Why not take a look at the case study on The Subrideo Network and comment on the case, giving any alternate ways it could have been handled, or if you are seeing someone for a similar issue, you may get some ideas as to how you could deal with it, from the case study and people's comments. Here's a small section from the case study, so you can see if it's one you would be interested in reading more about:
Client presented with “Fear of Public Speaking”.
Had some non problem talk and client seemed to have no human givens issues.
From discussing the pattern with the client and trying to find exceptions, it was clear that it was specific types of presentations which caused her the most fear. Some presentations, where it included some element of conversation with the audience she felt fine in, it was only those where she had to start cold and there was no interaction.
We discussed whether she had the flexibility within her role to have some element of conversation within the presentation, however this was not possible for some cases. In particular, there was a large presentation coming up which she knew she would have to do without conversing with the audience.
We discussed other times when she had to do similar things in her past and she stated that she used to sing as a child in front of large groups and really loved it. We walked about this a lot and I complimented her on this....

Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Depression course testimonial

I recently blogged about the Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Depression courses that we ran. The students certainly did very well on the courses and took a lot away from it. So much so that Paula and Natasha, two of the students on those courses were kind enough to come back and do a little video testimonial for us to let you all know their thoughts. You can see their testimonial below:
We all had great fun videoing the testimonial and what you saw above was only half of what we actually videoed. In fact we had so much fun, we had to put an outtakes video together:
We hope you enjoy the above videos and a big thanks to Paula and Natasha for doing the testimonial for us. If you have any questions on anything you saw in the videos please contact us and we will be happy to help in any way we can.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy Training

Well, it has been a while since our last post and one of the main reasons for this is that we have been busy training. We have had a really nice group of students on one of my favorite courses - our Solution Focused Therapy course where we take our students on a journey to finding solutions for our clients and not dwelling on the past. We teach them that the clients who come to see them all have the resources within them to find long lasting solutions to their problems and they are just there to facilitate this process. Above all, we teach them that the client is the expert in their problem and as a result of this, their sessions should be 'client led' to ensure that they are always on the right track.
We certainly cover a lot of information over the two days and there are lots of practical sessions, which are great to watch as the students try out these techniques for the first time. This year we have updated the course to include a whole section on Human Givens. We normally just include this information on our Understanding and Beating Depression course but this information is vitally important to any therapy session, not just depression.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy is the style of therapy that we use here in our clinic and is a powerful framework to base your therapy on.
